Prior to joining CHAK LAW, Yijin was articling with the tax group at a national, multi-practice law firm in Canada. He spent over six years as a corporate, securities, and funds lawyer at a premier firm in Beijing before relocating to Canada. In those years, he developed considerable expertise in international transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and overseas initial public offerings (IPO).

Yijin has also practiced as legal counsel for various private funds, an insurance company, a trust company, and a securities company. His primary responsibilities included advising on the structuring and execution of equity and debt investments, estate planning, as well as wealth management strategies.
