Joe Fang holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Peking University in China. He spent the following eight years in academia, conducting research in chemical biology and genetics as a scientist in both China and Switzerland. In 2014, Zhou moved to Canada to pursue his law degree at the University of Calgary, where he discovered a passion for litigation. During law school, he actively volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and Pro Bono Canada, providing legal support to underserved communities.

After completing his articles in Calgary, Joe relocated to Vancouver—drawn by the city’s great weather and vibrant food scene. He has since practiced at small, mid-sized, and full-service downtown firms, achieving success at both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court levels in Alberta and British Columbia. He also has extensive experience representing clients before the Residential Tenancy Branch and the Employment Standards Branch.

Outside of work, Zhou enjoys traveling, binge-watching Netflix, and exploring the Lower Mainland in search of great dining spots.
